Led by Steven our Tai Chi Qigong Instructor
Introducing our Programme
Steven has an exciting new programme planned for the coming months. In addition to practicing the Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Set One, Steven will be introducing the Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Set TWO. This is a great set of new movements for you to learn which brings balance to the Qigong Shibashi Set One. The first set focuses on movements for the upper body, with the second set there is more focus on movements for the lower body.
The aim of this revised programme is to keep you moving throughout the session with only brief periods when you will need to watch Steven demonstrate any new movements.
We do hope you will come and join us.
Tai Chi Qigong Offers Benefits for Everyone
Tai Chi Qigong! ‘Qi’ or ‘Chi’ means energy. ‘Gong’ or ‘Kung’ means work. Together they mean the exercise of your internal energy. Tai Chi Qigong has been practised in China for over 5,000 years as a health care modality which has endured the test of time and is becoming increasingly popular again today.
Qigong is extremely beneficial for:
- Enhancing fitness in body and mind
- Developing vitality for sports
- Reducing stress levels
- Helping to cure degenerative and chronic diseases
- Helping to treat conditions ranging from hypertension to cancer
Every Tuesday we will hold a Tai Chi Qigong class. During the summer months we will ask our Tai Chi Qigong tutor to take the class outdoors (weather permitting).
If you have a small group of friends or colleagues who would like a private class to learn or develop the qigong then this can be arranged. Either at your place or here at Banyan Retreat, half day and full day rates are available upon request. Whatever your requirement – just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
