Hello there,

It has been an extremely busy year here at Banyan Retreat. Much of the renovation work has been completed however, there is still a little left to be done in the new year. The new facilities allow us to offer many more workshops and events which have not been possible in the past.

Steven and I took great delight in visiting Demelza House earlier this week to deliver all the wonderful toys and gifts that you have donated at recent events. It is such a pleasure to know that in some way we can contribute to brightening up the days of these children.

2012 is just around the corner and we have a fantastic range of courses and events lined up for the year. There are a number of new people coming to work with us at Banyan Retreat next year - all are extremely well known and respected in their field of work.

Despite the fact there are some people who believe that 2012 will signal the end of physical life as we know it, there are others who believe that it is the beginning of a new life or new era. We believe that it will be a great time of healing and greater understanding. We welcome the year of 2012 and embrace all that it will bring into our lives. We should not fear change but welcome it with open arms and embrace what life has to offer us.

THE ARTIST ASTROLOGER - The horoscope is a visual representation of the heavens at the time we were born. Whether we are looking at our birth charts or cosmic influences operating in the present moment we are looking at a VISUAL map – and as a VISUAL map it is easily understandable and usable – I liken it to a SAT NAV for our lives.

I am an artist by training and from the first I felt compelled to draw out what I was talking about – the whole system is actually a simple, graceful and informative system to follow, heal with and learn from if represented in a clear visual way. This I aim to do.

Everyone in the workshop gets a hand drawn chart. Workshops participants complete their charts in a fun and easy way. I always provide basic notes that can be referred to again and again. A picture says a thousand words – I am on my own mission to use this incredible system in an easily understandable way so as many lives as possible can benefit from this elegant and wondrous body of knowledge. I believe that there is so much knowledge that we do not use – this is my attempt to share a portion of it.
