Staying at Banyan

Bed and continental breakfast is available at Banyan Retreat.

Accommodation is available in a small self contained suite, complete with sitting room (with TV), bathroom and bedroom. Local restaurants within easy walking distance for lunch and dinner.

The cost is £75 per night and weekly rates available upon request. A deposit is payable at the time of booking. Suitable for couples but not children or pets.

Our 2011 rate with the Holiday Inn is £65 Bed and Breakfast - £75 Dinner (A la Carte menu), Bed and Breakfast - (both rates include use of mini gym and car parking) book directly with the hotel reservations office requesting the Banyan Retreat rate.  Cheaper rates may be available via the hotel web site however, these cheaper rates may not be refundable upon cancellation or may you may be quoted a higher rate during peak periods and do not include breakfast.

By Car

from North/West of Lake House

1. From London - take the A20 towards Kent, merging with M20 near Swanley.

2. From M25 from the North - at junction 3 take the M20 towards Dover.

3. From M25 from the South – at junction 5 follow the M26 which merges with M20 at junction 3

then

Follow the M20 to Junction 8 (Leeds Castle and Service exit).

Follow the A20 in the direction of Lenham for 9 miles.

When you pass through the village of Charing keep going for a further two miles and you will see

the Holiday Inn, Ashford North, on your right hand side, as you pass over the motorway.

As you pass the Holiday Inn indicate to turn left through the wrought iron gates set in the Red Brick walls with the Banyan Retreat sign on either side.

from South/East of Lake House & Channel Tunnel

Take M20 to junction 9, then follow A20 towards Charing/Lenham for three miles. Look for an Esso Garage on left hand side then slow down and indicated to turn right.  Turn right through the wrought iron gates set in the Red Brick walls with the Banyan Retreat sign on either side.

By Train

from Charing, Ashford & Eurostar

Take the train to Charing Station (2 miles away) or Ashford International Station (6 miles away).  If you are coming to see us for a treatment we may be able to arrange for you to be picked-up from Charing station if circumstances permit.

By Air

From Gatwick Airport

By Car

Take the M23 towards Central London and at Junction 8 follow the signs and take the M25 towards Dartford,

Stay on the M25 until Junction 5 (not a junction as such the M25 divides) keeping left on the M26,

Stay on the M26 until it merges with the M20 Leave the M20 at Junction 8 and follow the A20 towards Lenham.

Stay on the A20 for exactly 11 miles and you will arrive at Banyan Retreat. We are located 50 yards past the Holiday Inn Ashford North going towards Ashford on the opposite side of the road.  There are large signs on the walls at either side of the gates.

By Train

Take the train from Gatwick to Tonbridge then change for a train from Tonbridge to Ashford International. At certain times of the day or week it may be quicker to take a train to central London ie the Gatwick Express to Victoria and then take a train to Ashford International. If you do take this option then you should alight at Charing (one stop before Ashford International).

From Heathrow Airport

By Car

Follow the signs towards the M4 and join it in the direction of the West Country (not London).

At the next junction (J4) follow the signs for the M25 Southbound (also signed to the M3).

Stay on the M25 until you reach Junction 5 (not a junction as such the M25 divides) keeping left on the M26,

Stay on the M26 until it merges with the M20. Leave the M20 at Junction 8 and follow the A20 towards Lenham.

By Train

Take either:

a) Heathrow Express to Paddington then London Underground to Victoria Station

b) London Underground from Heathrow to Victoria in Central London (you will need to change lines in order to reach Victoria and we advise not changing at Green Park).

Take the Ashford International Train from Victoria and alight at Charing (one stop before Ashford International). 

From Stansted Airport

By Car

Take the M11 towards Central London and at Junction 6 follow the signs and take the M25 towards Dartford (Eastbound),

Stay on the M25 until Junction 3 and then join the M20,

Stay on the M20 until you reach Junction 8 and follow the A20 towards Lenham.

By Train

Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street Station in central London. Then travel by London Underground to Victoria Station. Take the Ashford International Train from Victoria and alight at Charing (one stop before Ashford International).
